Key Responsibilities for IT support
- Providing 1st level and 2nd level troubleshooting to the end-user’s problem regarding hardware issues like desktop, laptop, printer, projector and mobile devices such as iPhone & blackberry.
- Install, configure and do maintenance for all new or existing hardware, network services and systems
- Troubleshoot User account, Software installations, email, anti-virus and anti-spam related issues.
- Knowledge and experience on maintenance and administration of Windows & Unix platforms.
- Supports network and computing infrastructure
- Requires good knowledge of networking essentials.
- Having basic knowledge on VPN setup and remote access
- Performing basic troubleshooting for network connection that will be raised by the end-user
- Troubleshooting software issues such as MS Windows OS (2000, XP, Win 7), MS Office, MS Outlook and other In-house applications
- Troubleshoot and fix wireless issues like setting the configuration checking the user’s account and guide them the correct procedure to connect
- Troubleshoot network or application issues
- IT Inventory management and documentation of network problems and resolution for future reference
- Proper logging of all incidents that was received from a phone call or from email sent by the user
- Networking: Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls LAN, WAN TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP VoIP is added advantage.
- Perform system monitoring, system admin functions, preventive maintenance and backup
- Able to work shift duties on a 5 day week (client support is 7 days a week for 12 hours, e.g. 10am to 10pm. May move to 24 hour shifts in the future)
