Vaccum System specialist (Engineer/Technician)

Troubleshoots vacuum system leaks using helium mass spectrometer leak detector

Analyzes vacuum system performance using residual gas analyzer (RGA) and technical reference data

In depth knowledge of vacuum measurement devices including sensors data loggers and controls.

In depth knowledge of temperature measurement devices including thermocouples, recorder and controllers.

Knowledge of gases used for generating an inert atmosphere in vacuum chambers.

Ability to cross reference several pressure measurement units.

Understanding of voltage and current analog signal control loops.

Understanding of communication protocols used between electronic devices i.e. RS232, Ethernet

Researches/Reccomends system components, pumps, valves and method for process improvements

Troubleshoots repairs and maintains computer controlled mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.

Ability to set up and maintain robust preventive maintenance schedules for all vacuum systems improvements.

Ability to optimize mechanical repairs on systems and equipment.

4.  Education and/or Experience:  (Levels of general education & experience should be stated as the minimum level required to perform the duties noted in section 2. Be realistic in view of the duties and responsibilities).

Education:     Nitec or polytechnic diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

Experience:    Minimum 3-4 years experiences in servicing and maintenance of high vacuum systems.
