PRINCIPAL QA/QC TECHNICIAN
Job Description:
· Perform incoming, in-process and outgoing inspection of materials, parts and product in accordance with inspection control plans / customer supplied drawings
· Prepare inspection reports
· Maintain a filing system for quality records and documents in accordance to AS9100 requirements
· Update inspection results into the SAP system
· Monitor the status and coordinate the calibration of measuring instruments and test equipment
· Monitor the status of shelf life chemicals and perform tests on expired materials for shelf life extension
· Monitor the status and perform periodic inspection on jigs, tools and fixtures
· Ensure that procedures in the plant are in compliance with process sheets and the quality manual
· Propose corrective/ preventive action and improvement initiatives to maintain AS9100 aerospace quality management system requirements
· Act as supervisor to the QC technicians and assist the QC engineer as required
· Liaise with customer on product quality issues
Job Requirement
· Nitec in Mechanical Engineering or GCE 'O' level with relevant experience
· Able to interpret technical drawings competently
· Able to use general measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, height gauge, profile projector and etc.
· Able to operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) including use of programs for automatic measurement
· Able to use ultrasonic testing equipment
· Knowledge of ISO9001 quality management system an advantage
· Able to work well in a team and as a leader
