SENIOR/ SUPPLIER QUALITY MANAGER

Job Description:

·         Manage supplier evaluation, audit program and supplier approval & rating program through a robust qualification processes

·         Work closely with Procurement and Engineering departments to identify new suppliers for evaluation

·         Interface with Suppliers, Engineering/ Manufacturing/ Quality Assurance/ Procurement departments to drive quality improvements to minimize the costs of quality, specifically incoming rejects, workshop defects and failures and ensure productivity gains to improve workflow process and resource allocation

·         Lead investigations to determine root causes on material quality issues and initiate/ensure corrective and preventive action plans are developed and executed at the appropriate level of the supply chain

·         Drive continuous improvement of supplier quality via implementation of Process Quality Management or Quality Management Plan etc

·         Manage new product development and recommend for production go-ahead (PGA) via print review, FA acceptances and process review

·         Build up technical competencies in areas of focus, e.g. system and special processes etc. Review and approve key process validation during manufacturing process review

·         Collect and maintain overall supplier quality

Requirement:

·         Degree in any Engineering discipline

·         Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in supplier quality management preferably in Aerospace, Defence or Automotive industries

·         Able to lead Quality Auditor qualification

·         Strong in partnering and influencing all levels of the organization and cross-functional teams to drive supplier quality and its continuous improvement

·         Has good knowledge and experience in supplier development practices and able to leverage and apply these to improve existing quality principles and practices

·         Experienced in developing certification processes and supplier quality measures

·         Proficient in quality analysis tools such as 8D, SPC, FMEA etc

·         Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems and components

·         Knowledge of fabrication based quality control methods, tools and techniques

·         Strong problem solving skills with ability to coach basic problem solving techniques and facilitate problem solving for team events

·         Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to draw insights from data quickly and to define executable actions

·         Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal & written), presentation and management skills

·         Able to motivate others and navigate teams through ambiguity

·         Demonstrated project management skills
